Then, you found your way through a maze of whats? and hows? and finally, your site was up and LIVE for the entire world to see!!! Then...days pass and weeks and you're back to the regular routine of business as usual...but that site, it's out there still. Who? Either you figure out how to maintain and update the web site yourself, or you ask your designer to do it and it takes FOREVER for them to get back to you. Maintenance on a web site is as important as changing the oil in your car. If you want to stay relevant to the world online, you need to have regularly scheduled updates, even if it's just a stupid article about the importance of maintaining your own work, body, life. Like swimming, you gotta keep paddling or risk sinking to the bottom of the ever-growing ocean that is the world wide web. The internet is an amazing place and can be a very helpful and powerful tool for any business owner to keep busy...which is what we want. But sometimes you get bogged down with the problems of upkeep...the details of learning about content management or FTP software or DreamWeaver / Front Page. There is A LOT TO LEARN in this industry...and you risk wasting a lot of your already valuable time by often learning about the wrong stuff.
